The secluded and peaceful villages are located in the mountainous Kordestan Province of Iran. They are also on the UNESCO World Heritage tentative list since 2007 which makes them a very special place. Iran was once part of the Great Persian empire.

This unwinding location is in the northern Iranian village of Shirabad. Very beautiful and peaceful here, definitely a perspective of Iran many people don't see. It is also unique due to its stairway structure, which actually makes it into 12 large and small waterfalls.

Cactus Dome: The Giant Vault Hiding the Past

During the 1950's United States conducted many nuclear tests over the "Pacific Proving Grounds". This was one of them. In 1958 operation "Cactus" was completed - an 18 kT (kiloton) nuclear bomb was dropped and this 350ft crater was created.
An Interesting Geological Location: Fly Geyser, Nevada

Fly Geyser isn't very well known tourist attraction, even to Nevada residents. It is located right near the edge of Fly Reservoir and is only about 5 feet (1.5 m) high, (12 feet (3.7 m) if you count the mound on which it sits). The Geyser is not an entirely natural phenomenon, and was accidentally created in 1916 during the drilling of a well.

China's Mythical Shilin Stone Forest

These 'stone trees', are a notable set of karst formations located in the Shilin Yi Autonomous Country, Yunnan Province of China. Their creation is caused by the dissolution of limestone and are believed to be over 270 million years old.

This rare Ferrari 250 TR (Testa Rossa) was sold a few years back at an auction for an astonishing $12.1 million dollars USD. This particular Ferrari is one of just 22 that were built between 1957 and 1958. In total these cars won 10 of the 19 international races which they entered from 1958 and 1961.

A Tiny European Town Built on a Cliff

The basalt cliff that the town is situated on is over 165 ft (50 m) high and almost one kilometer long. Many centuries ago this cliff was formed by the overlaying of two lava flows.
