Abandoned Russian Village... In Japan

After the collapse of the Soviet Union many people fled the country - whether it was for tourism or business, many came to Japan. This village was created specifically for people from the former Soviet States. Many businessmen who were looking to make a large profit from selling old Japanese cars in former Soviet countries stayed here. However the fate of this village was undone shortly after its opening.

An Underwater Museum of Statues - Cancun, Mexico

In the recent months over 400 permanent statues have been installed in the National Marine Park of Cancún, Isla Mujeres, and Punta Nizuc. The installation is the first endeavor of a new underwater museum called MUSA, or Museo Subacuático de Arte.

Since 1975 Artists from all around the globe have been designing and applying art to cars that BMW manufactures, this is BMW's way of fusing two art forms together as they say. It's a very unique way of expressing art, as the canvas is a body of a car (usually a high spec race car). This is the BMW M3 GT2 done by Jeff Koon.

Russian Nuclear Submarine Cruising by a Public Beach

Soviet designed and built "Typhoon" Type nuclear submarine as it wafts along a beach in Severodvinsk in the White Sea. Really amazing to see this monster (worlds largest submarine until 2010), so close to a public beach. Bear in mind that this submarine could launch a full retaliation attack against the United States of America single-handed (even submerged under the polar ice caps).

Amazing Silhouette Art Made Out of Trash

Tim Noble and Sue Webster take ordinary things including rubbish, and use it to create art. Usually they focus on creating projection images of self portraits. This particular pile of garbage took 6 months for them to collect, if you look at the shadow in the background it creates is two people sitting back to back drinking and smoking.
