Wadi Rum Desert Lodge Concept
Aug 26 2011
Carved right into the desert cliffs of the Wadi Rum in Jordan, this luxury eco-lodge is designed to take full advantage of the natural landscape in order to fully appreciate the surrounding desert. Oppenheim Architecture, a Florida based firm, are the designers of this amazing concept.
Appropriate desert architecture, including shading, natural ventilation and thermal mass will all play a large role in keeping the micro-climate comfortable for guests while providing a natural experience in the desert.
Oppenheim’s proposal seeks to establish a new benchmark for design, quality and sustainability in the natural environment.
If this lodge gets built, I can definitely see a part of a James Bond movie being filmed here.
Big thanks to ArchitectureSTYLE for sharing this amazing concept with us.
